This project strengthens the Kampung Klewang Forest Species Nursery in collaboration with Perak State Park Corporation and the Jahai community. Activities include cataloguing 23 native species, enhancing nursery inventory with a herbarium, equipping the nursery with essential tools, and harvesting wildings from local mother trees. With eight active nursery members, the initiative supports restoration efforts and enables greater community participation in native species conservation and seedling buyback programmes.

The Tropical Rainforest Conservation & Research Centre (TRCRC), established in 2012, is a non-profit NGO dedicated to conserving Malaysia’s rare, endangered, and threatened rainforest tree species. A sister organisation of Landskap Malaysia, TRCRC focuses on restoring biodiversity through living collection centres, where rare plants are propagated for future reforestation. By reconnecting forest fragments with native species, TRCRC aims to revive degraded landscapes and safeguard Malaysia’s rich tropical heritage.
