Banteng Footage for Production of Malaysia’s Wild Cattle Conservation Documentary
This project supports efforts to document Malaysia’s wild cattle, focusing on the Malayan seladang and the critically endangered Bornean banteng in Sabah. BORA contributes field expertise and footage, drawing from its extensive conservation work. The material gathered is used to create a compelling documentary that raises awareness about the importance of habitat protection and species recovery. This initiative combines conservation storytelling with impactful media to engage wider audiences in wildlife protection.
Bringing Back Our Rare Animals (BORA) is a nonprofit working to prevent the extinction of endangered species and support their recovery in the wild. Its work includes species population recovery, habitat restoration, and improving food availability. BORA received the Hornbill Award in 2021 for its efforts to mitigate human-elephant conflict through habitat solutions. Actively collaborating with partners, BORA focuses on conserving Malaysia’s globally threatened large mammals and strengthening ecosystems where they live.
