We live out our mission through five core values that drive the way we work,
collaborate, and show up for people and nature.

As a charitable trust, The Habitat Foundation provides funding in the form of small grants to aspiring changemakers. We believe that lasting change begins with empowered individuals and communities.
Beyond funding, we work on the ground with local changemakers and a network of partners committed to conservation. By connecting ideas with action, we aim to inspire meaningful, on-the-ground impact where it’s needed most.

Our five pillars anchor our approach, shaping the way we act, fund, partner,
and drive lasting impact for people and nature.

We support initiatives to safeguard biodiversity, reverse the loss and degradation of natural ecosystems, and advocate for the sustainable use of natural resources.

We fund research to better understand our natural world and to identify actionable solutions to protect nature and the environment.

We create and implement compelling environmental education programmes for all levels of society in order to nurture respect for nature and a commitment to reducing our environmental impact.

We support technological innovation and the adoption of regenerative systems in order to usher in new standards and norms and shift our society towards sustainability.

We support efforts to build capacity among conservation practitioners, community organisers and other strategic frontliners to strengthen their impact and to build supportive networks.

Like any ecosystem, we’re still growing and evolving. And your feedback helps us thrive!
