Dr. Melissa Beata Martin is a senior lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu’s Faculty of Science and Marine Environment, holding a PhD in Fisheries from the University of Tasmania. She specialises in the taxonomy and phylogeny of parasitic isopods from fishes and collaborates with natural history museums. Dr. Martin’s work bridges taxonomy and citizen science, advancing marine biodiversity conservation and education.
